Dr Philip Herald BSc MBBS, FRANZCR, FAANMS

After completing six years of medical studies at the University of New South Wales and three years of basic medical training at Bankstown and Liverpool hospitals, Philip completed four years in the St George Hospital radiology specialist training program, and a further two years of training in Nuclear Medicine and PET at The Royal North Shore and St Vincent’s Hospitals in Sydney.

Early in his radiology specialist training, Philip developed a passion for imaging guided needle localisation. Over the years in public and private practice, this has developed into a sub-speciality for the treatment of chronic pain and sports injuries.

In January 2008 Philip joined Imaging Partners Online, a group specialising in emergency radiology. Later that year, while still living in Mosman, Philip was appointed as Director of the Kanwal Radiology Clinic and Director of Nuclear Medicine for five private clinics in the central coast region. Philip moved on from his successful central coast position to commence professional practice in his home community, and to be closer to his family of four young children.
